Treats & Eats

1. Since today is St Paddy's, it's only fitting that we include a good 'ole Irish outing for yah to check out after the parade! If you're into celebrating the Irish way (with booze), check out Genuine Liquorette, where they're serving up their signature Cha-Chunker, St. Paddy's style - as an Irish Car Bomb: TimeOut describes it as "starting with adding an Irish cream liqueur to a can of Guinness, before dunking a mini bottle of Jameson into it". If you're hoping to make it to work on Friday, check out Oddfellows instead: "Sam Mason's madcap creamery joins forces with Clontarf and Knappogue Castle for a three-scoop flight of Irish-whiskey–infused ice creams. Work your way through a Dead Rabbit Irish coffee-inspired variety, a straightforward whiskey version and a burnt marshmallow creation topped with Little Boo Boo Bakery's spiked marshmallows."

2. After St. Paddy's, life must go on... and we recommend drowning your sorrows, in a healthy way, at the 11th Annual Coffee & Tea Festival at The Brooklyn Expo Center (also where BK Pour was held this autumn!). With favorites - Harney & Sons, Health-Ade Kombucha, Bruce Cost Ginger Ale, and Cafe Grumpy, you really can't go wrong sampling all the vendors. You can also check out some seminars, or view the famous Latte Art Throwdown. *note: They're also doing an electronics drive: "Bring your extra, old, and/or unused small electronics (iPads, tablets, laptops, cell phones, etc) for Cup for Education's drive to raise money!"
