Pool Party, this way!

During the dog days of summer what could be better than escaping the steamy concrete sidewalks to the sweet blue oasis of a pool? When temperatures are high, humidity is higher, and even the buildings seem to sweat, diving into cool waters can feel like heaven. From exclusive reservation-only dips to public watering holes, NYC has a ton of options for city swimming and, since keeping our clients cool + happy is (literally) our job, we thought you might appreciate it if we shared our favorites. Need someone to secure you that lounge chair? Well, you know just who to call.

LA PISCINE at HOTEL AMERICANO- Weekend access to this tiny piscine is FREE with any purchase from the sweet little Mediterranean-by-way-of-Oaxaca bar + restaurant whose breezy banquettes line its edges. As with most things, though, gratis usually means crowds. We recommend posting up early with your amaro OR knocking off work and dropping $40 for a weekday pass.

McCARREN POOL(S)- If you're feeling like you want a good old-fashioned NYC summer dip in the exact same location where you went and saw Tapes'n'Tapes in 2008, McCarren Park Pool is the ticket. DO: bring a lock to secure your valuables. DON'T: wear sneakers or anything besides white clothing (seriously). If you want to go a little more elevated, look no further than the McCarren HOTEL + Pool, which offers day passes on a first-come-first-served basis (we can handle that for you if you'd like :).

PROFUNDO DAY CLUB- A little off the beaten path out in Long Island City, this lovely pool offers special "Sunset Sessions" in the evening for a reduced rate. Sweat it out at PS1 during the day and then swing by for a dip? Sounds like a plan to us (and we know a thing or two about making good plans).

BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK POP-UP POOL- This is the last summer to splish-splash in the refreshing waters of this pool pop-up (plans are in the works to install a permanent public pool in nearby Squibb Park) so head on down and get while the getting's good...wristbands to the limited sessions are given out on a first-come-first-served basis, so if you need someone to wait in line for you while you tuck in at Grimaldi's, we're your girls

THE BEACH AT THE DREAM HOTEL- Stocked with white sand "imported" from Montauk and featuring a glass bottom from which you can see + be seen from the hotel's lobby, this open-to-the-public cabana outpost is a west-side gem. Go ahead throw a party (we'll help).
