October: Local Events

WELCOME to our monthly rundown of some of the coolest events happening in NYC! Each month we at devivre Concierge will trawl the interwebs, to bring you some of the most unique and New Yorky goings-on about town. Here are our top picks for October:

Sights:

The new exhibition at The Jewish Museum in Manhattan invites visitors to touch, feel and in some cases take home works of art by 42 international artists. Take me (I'm Yours) aims to break the usual "look but don't touch" rules we are all used to so that you can experience art in a new and unique way. The exhibit runs through Feb 5th, 2016, so I hope they've got a lot of supplies.

Sounds:

This Friday, Oct 7th the Queen Bey's rescheduled show at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey is finally happening and amazingly there are still some tickets (though not the cheap seats where I'll be)! If you haven't watched Lemonade yet, you are simply not living your best life. You've got two days to get caught up. Since I once watched it twice in one day, I think you've still got time.

Learn:

Learn about beer at this year's annual NYC Craft Beer Festival at Lexington Avenue Armory Oct 14th & 15th. There will be a selection of 150 beers including meads and ciders from 75 breweries. They will have more info and seminars at the Craft Concierge Center. You may want to bring a notebook so you can actually remember what you learne and liked best.

Explore:

The weekend of Oct 15th & 16th is this year's Open House New York, where you can explore and admire the architecture of hundreds of buildings in the city that are usually closed to the public. There will be fascinating guided tours, talks, and performances and for sites that require reservations, you can sign up on Oct 6th at 11am (that's today for anyone on the mailing list!)

Bring on Fall!
